  • Paint industry

The organic waste gas generated in this industry mainly originates from organic solvents, and it is known that the organic waste gas generated from the paint-making device is difficult to treat and is characterised by a large volume and low concentration. On the one hand, the common means of prevention and control is to take the closed production mode, the introduction of advanced production technology to reduce the generation of waste gas; on the other hand, in the purification of organic waste gas, the use of zeolite adsorption and concentration + incineration or catalytic combustion advanced combination of processes, so as to achieve emission standards.

  • Printing and dyeing industry

This industry can also start from both prevention and control and treatment, such as functional zoning, accurate design of the exhaust air volume, and research on the matching of different printing materials and inks, cleaning agents and so on. The use of environmentally friendly printing materials is one aspect, and the flexible application of activated carbon or zeolite adsorption, photocatalytic oxidation, biological methods, catalytic combustion and other treatment technologies is another. China is developing printing materials with wide adaptability and low pollution, and using computers to optimise the simulation and improvement of the terminal treatment process.

  • Shoe-making industry

This industry will use a large number of adhesives and treating agents with high organic solvent content, so it will produce quite a lot of organic waste gas, whose characteristics include scattered but prominent emission sources, and difficult to control with a large distance span of workshop gas sources. Generally speaking, shoe-making enterprises use activated carbon and other adsorption, and on a higher level, activated carbon fibre adsorption is used to avoid being affected by the water content; at the same time, catalytic combustion and regenerative thermal oxidation technology are also common organic waste gas purification methods in the shoe-making industry.

  • Artificial board industry

The volatile organic waste gas of this industry is typically formaldehyde, which is usually generated during the hot pressing process, which also depends on the use of production curing agent, the time and temperature of the hot pressing, the moisture content of the board and other factors. End treatment using combustion, plasma, biological, photocatalytic, membrane separation method have their own advantages and disadvantages, can be combined as needed.

With China's emphasis on environmental protection, the environmental standards are also visible tightening. For VOCs, ‘determination of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) content in ink’, ‘general requirements for volatile organic compounds (VOCs) in sporting goods and parts’, ‘determination of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) in wood-plastic composites for construction’, ‘determination of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) content in rubber shoes’, ‘determination of VOCs content in paint and varnish’, ‘gas phase analysis for determination of VOC content in paint and varnish’. Determination of Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC) Content of Rubber Shoes and Varnishes by Gas Chromatography", etc. are gradually improving the standard framework.
